Marjorie and Craig met in Pago Pago in 1979, and were married on Maui in 1986. They started Transax, a cheque guarantee firm, in the United Kingdom that same year — and expanded its operations into Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and France.

In 1996 they sold Transax to Equifax, a NYSE-listed company, and purchased a controlling interest in The Poi Company in Honolulu a year later.

Unfortunately the erratic supply of taro, and the effects of 9-11 on the heavily tourist-dependent economy of Hawaii meant that poi business was unsuccessful, and it was closed down in May of 2002.

The Walshes moved back to England where they owned a farm —Lucies Farm Ltd. The farm originally raised pedigree Highland cattle, primarily to show on the agricultural circuit. From 2002 to 2008 the farm raised its cattle in the traditional Japanese Kobe fashion, and raised Kurobuta (Berkshire) pigs.

The farm operates a small, luxury dog resort and the Ritz Canine dog spa. The activities of the farm have been featured in many newspaper and magazine articles, as well as in news programmes (BBC, BBC World, ITV, Sky News, and Fox News) and television programmes (It's Me Or The Dog, The F Word, and the upcoming Personal Services Required on Channel 4 in the UK).

The Walshes started to photograph the "furkids" in their care almost immediately, and their online photo gallery —www.furkids.eu— now has almost 14,000 images and has had over 400,000 page views. A related website —www.crittersnaps.com— has had over 50,000 votes cast.

As a result of requests to purchase their images, this website was born. In common with others, we have experienced unwanted hacks of the Coppermine software that runs the www.furkids.eu website.

All images are shot in high-res with a Canon EOS1D Mark II or Mark III camera. They are shot in RAW, and then processed in Capture One Pro before being "finished" in Photoshop CS3. Keywording is done using Image Keyworder software, and this website is maintained using LightBox Photo software.

Marjorie is a member of BECTU. Craig is a member of the Association of Photographers (AOP), the Society of Camera Operators, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) as a voting member in the cinematography chapter, and a life member in the BKSTS. Marjorie and Craig both hold Press Cards.
